Not to read. The feed, tags, search and profiles are open to anyone. To post, like, comment or follow, you need to sign up, which takes an email address, a username and a password.

Not yet. Your username is your profile’s address (Kyabaatay/username), so it stays put. Your display name, bio, photo and links can be changed any time from Edit profile.

Open the … menu at the bottom of the sidebar and pick Light, Dark or System under Appearance. System follows your device. The choice is remembered on this browser only.

Up to 5,000 characters of text, and photos or videos. Press Create in the sidebar to start one; a post with several photos shows them as a set you swipe through.

Write #word anywhere in the post and it becomes a tag. Tapping a tag shows every post that carries it. A post can carry up to 30 tags, and the tags are read from the text itself, so editing the words edits the tags.

You can delete your own posts and comments from the … menu on them. Editing after posting is not available yet.

Send us a copyright notice from the copyright page. It asks for the links to the posts and a few details we need; you do not need an account.

A post has been viewed when someone signed in has had at least half of it on their screen for about a second. Each person counts once per post per day, and your own views of your own posts never count.

Their posts appear in your feed, and you appear in their followers. Following is one-way and needs no approval; unfollowing is the same button again.

Not at the moment. Everything you post is public, and profiles are open to anyone. If you need something taken down, delete it, or write to us.

Messages are coming; the button in the sidebar is holding the place. Until then, a comment on their post is the way to reach them.

The … menu at the bottom of the sidebar, then Log out. That clears your sign-in from this browser.

Password reset from the login page is not built yet. Write to us from the email address on the account and we will sort it out.

Write to us from the email address on the account and we will delete it, along with your posts, comments, likes and follows. The privacy policy says exactly what that covers.
